The Purpose

A 65-foot piece of American maritime history, brought back to life — because some things are worth preserving.

A boat, a dream, a reason

She was built in 1958 — the same year Elvis was drafted, and America was full of optimism and craftsmanship we rarely see today. Someone poured their heart into every plank, every fitting, every curve of this hull. She was meant to last. She was meant to matter.

Her name is The Purpose. And after all these years, I found her.

I didn't buy a boat. I made a promise — to this vessel, to the hands that built her, and to everyone who believes that beautiful things deserve a second chance.

She will never be sold. She will never be scrapped. She will be loved back to life.

How you can help

Your hands — woodworking, mechanics, electrical, painting, marine restoration
Your dollars — every contribution goes directly into the restoration
Your voice — share our story, tell a friend, spread the word
Your encouragement — a kind word on a hard day means everything
2028

On her 70th birthday,
The Purpose returns to the water

The dream is simple and it is everything: in 2028, I want The Purpose back on the water — fully restored, exactly as she was meant to be. And I want to celebrate that moment with every single person who helped make it happen.

Every donor. Every volunteer. Every person who shared a post, picked up a tool, or sent an encouraging word. We will be on that deck together, watching her cut through the water again, and we will all know —

We did this.

Watch the revival unfold

Every step of this journey will be documented and shared — the hard days, the breakthroughs, and the beauty hiding underneath all of this. Don't miss a moment.
